The Fall and Rise of Queen Pelopius
This is an illustrative narrative containing 12 pieces that I originally created for an AP Portfolio. This is a guide that might help you follow the story.
1. Consumption
2. Sushi
3. Captured
4. Fishing
Pelopius, the beautiful Octomaid is captured from her rather dark part of the sea, where she is cut up and prepared in a meal to be eaten by creatures of her own kind.
5. The Queen
6. The Servant
7 & 8: Egg 1 & 2
What we assumed was a beautiful and innocent creature turns out of be the epitome of evil. Eating her subjects and killing them left and right if they disobey her. In The Servant, we see possibly her only act of kindness with her close relationship with the Servant, Sonya, who you can see is viciously slaughtered at the bottom of The Queen piece. In the Egg piece, we see how her servants are made. Being incredibly conceited, she has her subjects breed secifically to create creatures that are in her likeness. She eats the rejected strawberry eggs of those she deems not fitting, while she lets the one in her likeness live.
9. New Rule10. PowerHow exactly did this cruel and evil wench come into power? Well, by slaughtering the old, good Queen, Lunam, who was the goddess of the moon and appears to have the body of a Squid. Pelopius now has complete control of both the moon and the oceans.11. Birth12. ConceptionIn these final pieces, it is apparent that even the creation of Pelopius was incredibly taboo. In Birth, we see her coming out of her Strawberry egg, much like the ones she consumed in earlier pieces.Artwork and Narrative created by Tobias Jackson Rose.

“Self centered in her own appearances, The Queen has her people breed specifically to create babies that are in her likeness; though she refuses to create any offspring herself. When the embryo/eggs grow and the babies are more visible through the transparent shell, she will then decide if they look like her or not. The ‘rejects’ are eaten by The Queen herself, leaving the sole babies to work closely with The Queen when they grow older, surrounding herself literally in her image. Servants have unconditioned love and the utmost admiration for The Queen, and would do absolutely anything for her… That is… until one servant decides that she cannot kill a disobedient subject. Then, the servant and the subject are executed, and The Queen may feast on their remains. The strange thing about their relationship, is that even though she is the cruelest ruler of them all, The Queen has a special bond with her servants, and actually feels some strange guilt when she has a drive that she ‘must’ do it.”
Inked with awesome pens, and colored mostly with makeup products. Still a WIP.
